Many cine-goers and trade pandits were surprised at the huge budget amount spent on a newcomer like Sai Srinivas for his debut movie. The estimated budget according to the available sources is approximately around Rs.35 crores. It was really shocking that this budget amount is no less than any big hero’s budget in Tollywood. Nagarjuna’s ‘Manam’ was made with Rs.30+ crore budget while this year’s super hits film ‘Resu Gurram’ and ‘Yevadu’ were made with Rs.50+ crore each.
So, for Sai Srinivas’ film to be in the profit zone it has to collect atleast Rs.40 crores net amount. In this scenario, the film got A certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification. This would probably effect the flow of the multiplex audiences where the maximum amount of collections will come. But in A centres and multiplexes, children below 18 years will be strictly filtered out and that would be a serious issue regarding collections. B and C centres contribute comparitively less amount.
On the same day or a day before or after, Salman’s ‘Kick’ will be released. Though ‘Kick’ is a Bollywood movie , Salman Khan has good fan base in Hyderabad too and the movie is well promoted even. We have to wait and see how Salman’s ‘Kick’ and A certification are going to effect Alludu Sreenu. Hope Srinivas makes it big in the industry with this mega budget movie.
