Kick & Alludu Sreenu –similarities and common goal

Kick and Alludu Sreenu on paper might appear as different as one can get but they surely have some things in common box office wise. Let’s begin with what’s in common at the very latest. Both the films have taken big festival advantages today. While Kick has suffered a bit over the past few days, according to the trade, today all that has disappeared with the audience coming in full flow. All that now remains to be seen is can Kick get a kick up in collections today by posting a record number.

Alludu Sreenu has been going strong for the past few days, with pre-Eid effect in few places and now with the Eid holiday today, it is maintaining that good run further. The film as has been reported earlier is doing well in all areas except Nizam. Today in addition to all the areas, Nizam too is going to do well which means Alludu Sreenu is sure to get good first week numbers in the combined states. The similarity here is Alludu Sreenu is aiming for record first week among debut movies in Telugu whereas Kick is aiming for a record first week overall.

Kick and Alludu Sreenu have another similarity apart from releasing on the same date and aiming for record first week, both the films have been made and acquired at huge rate which means both the films have to get truly big numbers for the distributors to get break even. Which means there is still a long way to go for both these films to be termed big clean success at the box office despite running for record first week respectively.
