What killed Brahmotsavam in US?

That Brahmotsavam is the biggest disaster in US box office history is a common knowledge at this point. What one needs to look now is what led the film to reach that situation. Is it poor reviews or the terrible word of mouth?

If we look in the past Superstar Mahesh Babu has had back to back disasters in the form of 1 Nenokkadine and Aagadu. Still both performed very well and collected near million and half in US, very big amount at that time. If we closely observe Aagadu was worse of the two and had pretty bad reviews and yet it went on to create premiere records and collected huge in end. People still went to watch the cinema despite the reviews and braving word of mouth.

But with Brahmotsavam, it was a different case from the premieres itself. The reviews came only after the premieres were completed yet it couldn’t create any record and now it is going to end up way below Aagadu. Were the previews and promotions unimpressive? Does this prove word of mouth is above all in US and even Superstar is susceptible to it? Looking the numbers it sure does look that way. Superstar Mahesh Babu too has to come with good content to deliver big.
