King 100 OTT: One Worry Off Nagarjuna’s Shoulders?

King 100 SonyLIV OTT Deal Buzz

Nagarjuna’s much-awaited 100th film, King100, has reportedly locked its digital streaming deal with SonyLIV. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24, with fans increasingly demanding updates and promotional material.

According to the latest industry buzz, SonyLIV has acquired the digital rights to King 100 for all languages for a good price, reducing the burden on theatrical revenue for the producers. The OTT deal had reportedly been under discussion for some time, with no clarity regarding the OTT partner, which also fueled speculation about the film’s release plans.

However, the reported deal comes as a positive development for the team. The film’s shooting is almost complete, and post-production work is expected to move forward alongside promotional activities.

Directed by Ra Karthik, the film is just around two months away from its theatrical arrival. Fans have been asking the makers to step up promotions and share more updates.

The team had planned to release a special glimpse featuring Tabu during Dussehra but postponed it. Since Nagarjuna’s birthday glimpse, the makers have not released any other major promotional asset, leaving fans waiting for fresh content.

King 100 features Aishwarya Rajesh, Sushmitha Bhatt, Vijayendra, and Ashok Selvan in key roles. Produced by Annapurna Studios, the film has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

While the reported SonyLIV deal is encouraging news, the makers still need to build stronger buzz among audiences. King 100 is currently set for a box-office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s King and Balakrishna’s Dada. The competition is fierce, and with Nagarjuna’s 100th film carrying huge expectations, the next promotional moves will be crucial in generating interest and helping the film make a strong impact at the box office.
