The box office trend for Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju is turning increasingly positive. The film, which received a good response on Day 1, is seeing a noticeable rise in audience interest on its second day, with all centres reporting huge crowds.
Interestingly, the demand has been strong right from the premiere shows, and it continues for day one and then day 2. Exhibitors are also responding to the rising interest by increasing the screen count across the Telugu states. The addition of extra shows and screens is giving the film bigger reach.
The timing is also working in favour of the movie. With the weekend in progress and a Bonalu holiday in Telangana, Sunday is expected to bring a substantial increase in footfalls. If the current trend continues, Korean Kanakaraju could post a strong weekend total.
The film is showing encouraging progress in North America too, where it is nearing the $200K milestone. The blend of fun and horror elements is working well for the movie in both domestic and overseas markets.
