Finally after years the current BJP government has decided to bestow him with the honour he long deserved. According to the buzz in the industry, it is being said that Kota Srinivas Rao has been given Padma Sri by the Central government. This will make the actor be part of select individuals who have got ‘Padma’ awards in TFI.

Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, Chiranjeevi, Krishna, P Susheela, Mohan Babu and Brahmanandam etc are some of the other prominent Telugu film personalities who have been bestowed with these Padma awards.
