Krishna Planned A Studio In AP But Govt Said No

Superstar Krishna is no longer with us. Netizens are now rolling back the memories and here is an interesting scoop about Krishna’s aspiration to build Padmalaya studio in Andhra Pradesh and how it didn’t materialize.

Krishna always took a pro-Andhra stance. He was the only Tollywood star then to lead a Jai Andhra movement, while the entire industry was skeptical.

In 1973, Krishna planned to build Padmalaya Studio at Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh but the Andhra Pradesh government didn’t show much interest in it and the idea was dropped. He later built it in Hyderabad.

Krishna is from Burripalem, Andhra Pradesh and now Mahesh shares a special affinity with the place as he has adopted it and is contributing to the progress of the area.

On a related note, it is reported that Krishna’s memorial service will be held in a grand manner at Burripalem soon. Related arrangements are being made and more details about the same will be out in the due course.
