What Went Wrong with Nani in the US?

Nani has been the minimum guarantee hero and a hot favourite who has been churning out million dollar films back-to-back in the US market. But, the premiere show collections of ‘Krishnarjuna Yuddham‘ (KAY) is a bit shocking as it was least expected.

KAY has collected $164K from the premieres which is comparatively very low number for Nani whose last release ‘MCA’ collected over $300K from the premieres. So, what has gone wrong with ‘Krishnarjuna Yuddham’? A few things are quite obvious.

Foremost, Nani’s dual roles didn’t excite the audiences to catch up for the first show right from the trailer cut and added to this, the low key promotions turned out to be a spoilsport. On the other hand, ‘Rangasthalam’ which is still running strong in theatres and attracting family audiences to the theatres in the weekdays.

Moreover, ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ is coming next week with the US favourites Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva combination. Therefore, Nani has only one week to bring audiences to the theatres. Let’s see if Nani can repeat his magic. This is a big test to Nani’s star power.
