Kushboo fires on marital rape statements

Minister of State for home, Haribhai Parathibhai Chowdary has definitely hit upon an active honey comb by saying that the concept of marital rape isn’t applicable in Indian context where the institution of marriage is known for its granted sanctity. This got many women across the country fuming on the minister for his exclusion of marital rape to redefine rape in the country’s laws.

Firebrand actress turned politician Kushboo is one of the women who is completely taken back by the perception of the union minister on marital rape. She explains that marriage is sacred but not rape in any form. She doesn’t limit her criticism to this comment. Kushboo even went overboard dragging Chaudary’s wife into this.

She blatantly says that Chaudary’s woman in his house might have gone through marital rape and if given a chance she would breakdown and accept on marital rape on her. When 75% of married women in India are subjected to marital rape, what Mr.Chaudary said in Parliament isn’ going to change the facts opines the lady. Seems Kushboo is going to reel under fresh set of constroversies after the above mentioned comments on minister’s wife.
