Legendary cinematographer surprised by Censor rating

It is a common knowledge by now that most of the times Censor board is becoming a problem with films. Many filmmakers are not happy with the way it works and the ratings they give. Here we have another technician who has expressed similar concerns.

The technician is Legendary cinematographer PC Sreeram and the film for which he is surprised is Oh Kadhal Kanmani (Ok Bangaram in Telugu). The film has completed its censor formalities recently and it has been awarded a U/A rating. It’s this rating that has surprised the ace lensman. He feels that Oh Kadhal Kanmani is a simple and cute love story to get such a rating.

Similar opinions were echoed by the unit too and hence they were looking at sending it to re-censor again. But owning to time constraints to release the film on time they dropped the idea. The Mani Ratnam directed film will hit screens worldwide in Tamil and Telugu on April 17 as planned.
