Line Cleared For Biggies To Make Killing

Two biggies are going to fill the gaps this Summer and they had competition from medium budget movies. The two biggies in the discussion are Mahesh Babu‘s ‘Maharshi’ and Suriya’s bilingual ‘NGK’ and the medium budget movies are Nikhil Siddharth’s ‘Arjun Suravaram’ and Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Dear Comrade’.

‘Arjun Suravaram is postponed to a later date and will be coming only after ‘Maharshi’. In fact, it’s no way competition for ‘Maharshi’ as it was earlier scheduled to come on 1st May but the ‘Avengers’ mania has made it retreat. The poor audio by Devi Sri Prasad for Mahesh’s ‘Maharshi’ was a minor hitch. One can easily see that ‘Arjun Suravaram’ cleared the line for ‘Maharshi’ dream run if Vamshi Paidipally delivers as expected.

Coming to Suriya’s ‘NGK’, it will be in the theatres on 31st May. Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Dear Comrade’ was also slated to release on the same day. However, the makers chose not to clash with Suriya’s movie and they are yet to announce the new date. There is a hunger for big films as the last big film the audiences had got to see was ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ that was a disaster.

Now, two potentially good films have got postponed and only small films are left for other weeks. So, the line is quite clear for Mahesh and Suriya to conquer.
