List of words banned by Censor Board!

Above is the list of cuss words hand picked by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairman Pahlaj Nihalani to ban in any upcoming films. He issued a notice to the Producers’ Association and Regional Officers. This list is applicable to all regional language films as well. However, film makers heavily criticized calling it “murder” of creativity and they say it could have negative impact on the commercial success of the films. Few people from Bollywood industry are planning to take this to the notice of I&B ministry as they think a movie denied Universal certificate could impact TV rights. Interestingly ‘Bombay’ is also on the banned words list. It is said that “Bombay” was added with respect to Maharashtra government’s notification of change in the city’s name.”
