Aamir-Lokesh Kanagaraj Over: Now SRK or Allu Arjun?

Since the failure of Coolie, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next project has remained unclear. Instead of official updates, social media is overflowing with theories and rumours. Fans are actively speculating about which big star will finally headline the director’s next ambitious film.

Before the release of Coolie, Lokesh Kanagaraj mentioned in several interviews that Kaithi 2 would be his immediate next film. After completing it, he planned to begin work on a superhero project with Aamir Khan, which generated strong excitement across fan communities.

However, after Coolie landed in theatres and quickly became a troll fest, the director’s lineup appeared to collapse. Lokesh Kanagaraj is now busy with his acting debut in DC, directed by Arun Matheshwaran, pushing directorial plans further into uncertainty.

Fresh speculation now suggests that the Aamir Khan project under Mythri Movie Makers was titled Irumbu Kai Maayavi. Buzz claims that Aamir Khan has exited the project, forcing the production house to search for another major star.

Many believe Shah Rukh Khan should be approached for Irumbu Kai Maayavi, while others insist Allu Arjun fits the role better. Recent rumours of a Lokesh Kanagaraj and Allu Arjun collaboration have added more fuel to this already tense debate.

Beyond Irumbu Kai Maayavi, the loudest question in Kollywood remains the delay of Kaithi 2. Fans feel the director is ignoring his strongest franchise while chasing larger stars and drifting from the universe that built his reputation.

There is a strong demand for Kaithi 2 to begin immediately, followed by Irumbu Kai Maayavi only after its release. As of now, no official confirmation exists regarding casting decisions or project timelines, leaving all discussions firmly in the rumours category.
