Trailer Talk: Trying Hard With Template

Lover is the new film coming from Dil Raju’s production house. Like many of his recent films, which are also successful, Lover too looks like a template driven story with little upgrades.

The trailer starts well and feels all over the place by the end before the final exchange appears. The dialogue ends it on a positive, but the potential issue seems to be transparent with the movie. Based on the songs and the trailer, Lover gives a regular template movie vibe. Director Annish Krishna is trying hard to make the “template” appear fresh. The songs are part of that; his writing will be the deciding factor theatrically.

Check out the trailer below. Raj Tharun and Riddhi Kumar are the leads in the love story with a little bit of action. After “Double Hat-trick” last year, Lover will be the first release of Dil Raju in 2018. It hits screens all over on July 20th.
