MAA Elections: Struggling for Unanimous Vote?

Movie Artists Association conducts elections for the post of President every two years. Normally it has been unanimous vote that has decided the President of MAA. But this year, the MAA elections are getting a bit murkier. Though senior actor Rajendra Prasad expressed desire to contest for Presidentship, there seems to be no consensus in the Telugu Film Fraternity.

The latest development is megabrother Nagendra Babu’s pressmeet extending his support for Rajendra Prasad saying that the actor has access to all strata of people in cine circles and political circles. Hence he wants the election to go unanimous and says that 90% of the industry is with Rajendra Prasad. What about the remaining 10%?

But according to the insiders buzz, this year MAA elections is definitely struggling for unanimous vote. When Rajendra Prasad’s name came to forefront for President, there had been rumours that the present vice-president Manchu Vishnu would compete with the senior actor. But Vishnu clarified that he isn’t in the competition.

Even then, according to the grapevine there is still ambiguity regarding Rajendra Prasad’s election as the President. Let’s see who will come out in open and compete with the senior actor? Presently another senior actor Murali Mohan is the president of MAA for 2013-15.
