Maa Inti Bangaram: $550K Premiere + Day 1, Fantastic Start

After delivering her first solo $1 million film in North America with Oh Baby, Samantha is once again showing her box office strength with director Nandini Reddy.

The duo has reunited for Maa Inti Bangaram, and early numbers indicate that audiences are responding positively.

As of 10 PM EST on Friday, Maa IntiBangaram collected $219K from Day 1 in North America. Premiere collections have already touched the $300K mark, with exact figures expected later this evening. Current estimates suggest the film is heading toward a strong $550K+ combined total from premieres and Day 1.

At this pace, Samantha looks set to score her second $1 million film in North America by next Tuesday.

Early projections indicate that Maa Inti Bangaram could finish near the $1.5 million mark if the current trend continues.

What makes this performance more notable is that it is happening with regular ticket pricing in the $8 to $13 range, without premium pricing support.

After a difficult phase for the U.S. market, Maa Inti Bangaram appears to be offering a much-needed breather.
