Maanadu OTT Release Disturbs Big Plans!

Simbu‘s Maanadu which was released recently has ended up as a blockbuster. The Telugu version release has been canceled at the last minute due to some issues. The actor wants to release the film’s dubbing version in Telugu so as to improve his market here.

There is also immense competition for the film’s remake rights. Suresh Babu, Nithin’s father Sudhakar Reddy, and Sithara Entertainments are in the race for rights. Meanwhile, SonyLIV has announced that Maanadu will have its OTT Premiere on December 24th as Christmas Special.

This may be a problem for the dubbing release as well as the remake plans. But then, the OTT rights were sold even before the movie release not anticipating this scenario. Dubbing release maybe out of the equation and Simbu may be forced to sell the remake rights now.

Maanadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is a science fiction action thriller film and can be termed as Simbu’s come back to the winning ways after a lot of struggle for years with back-to-back disasters.
