Mad Square: Makers Surrender After Huge Backlash

The upcoming Telugu film Mad Square, directed by Kalyan Shankar, is set for release on March 28. Starring Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Shobhan, and Ram Nithin, the film has decent buzz thanks to the success of its first installment. However, the makers recently found themselves in hot water over a poster controversy.

The poster, released yesterday, prominently featured Narne Nithin at the center, sidelining Sangeeth Shobhan.

Fans were quick to express their disappointment, arguing that Sangeeth’s character, Damodar (DD), was the heart of the first film and deserved the spotlight. The backlash was intense, with social media flooded with demands to correct the design.

Responding swiftly, the makers released a revised poster today, placing Sangeeth Shobhan in the central position while Narne Nithin was moved to the side. This move seems to have calmed fans, who now eagerly await the film’s theatrical trailer.

Mad Square also features Priyanka Jawalkar in a key role, with Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya producing the film under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.
