Well, Mahanati is all set to release tomorrow. The bookings are opened all over and even with minimum promotions; the advance bookings are decent. It just shows the interest a small segment has had on the subject.

So, as we wrote previously, the hype bus is gone, which could have resulted in more significant numbers initially. It is all up to the content now. The decent beginning could very soon turn into a high number over the weekend, with a positive word of mouth. Whatever glimpse that we have got so far sure suggests a good product in hand.

More than the Telugu states, the US numbers could come in for a surprise. There is a bigger and better awareness in this territory. The pre-bookings too are very good. The combined number over the weekend could be big provided the talk is good.

Mahanati has Keerthi Suresh essaying the title role of Savitri. Malayalam star Dulquar Salman makes his Tollywood debut with the movie. Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha playing other vital parts complete the picture. Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subrahmanium fame directs the biopic Mahanati.
