‘Mahanati’ Raises the Bar for the Coming Biopics

A well-made biopic like ‘Mahanati’ will definitely be a point of discussion for the next few weeks to come. But, the bigger discussion will be on the biopics that are going to come in Tollywood. Tollywood hardly produced biopics, if we look at the past.

The recent ones are ‘Vangaveeti’ and ‘Mahanati’. There are a few more biopics in the making aka ‘NTR‘, ‘YSR’ and biopics on Pullela Gopichand and PV Sindhu. Of course, Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa’ also is a biopic made on the life of the freedom fighter, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.

After ‘Mahanati’, the bar is certainly very high for the directors of the above-mentioned biopics to meet the expectations. It’s not an easy task for a director to present a biopic with all the details in an engaging manner as the audiences would already know the details to a certain extent. A lot of passion and a proper discretion went into the making of ‘Mahanati’. Nag Ashwin deserves all the praises showering on him. Kudos!
