Maharshi Sets New Opening Day Record For Superstar In AP/TS

As predicted, Maharshi has taken a career-best opening for Superstar Mahesh Babu bettering the collections of Bharat Ane Nenu by a fair margin. It has, however, failed to set the all-time opening record.

Maharshi has collected a little higher than Rs.24 Cr on its first day in the Telugu states. A significant part of the reason for the career-best record is due to the enormous leap in number in Nizam compared to the previous outing. In this territory, Maharshi has set a new non-Baahubali record. Guntur is another area where it achieved a similar feat.

However, the biggest dampener has been Ceded where Maharshi fared the weakest. If Nizam propelled the figures higher, Ceded brought them down. The performance in these two territories would be crucial to see where Maharshi ends up eventually in the long run. Watch this space for more box office details.
