Mahesh Should Play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj?

The success of Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, has sparked conversations across social media. The film, which narrates the valiant tale of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has struck a chord not just with Bollywood audiences but also with Tollywood fans.

Many Telugu moviegoers are now hoping to see their favorite stars take on similar historic roles.

Interestingly, not many know that it was legendary actor Superstar Krishna’s lifetime dream to play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He even had a script ready.

However, he chose not to move forward with the project, fearing that a section of his fans, particularly Muslims, might take offense. Krishna had a significant Muslim fan base and didn’t want to hurt their sentiments.

Out of respect for their feelings, he kept postponing the project throughout his life and eventually passed away without fulfilling his long-cherished Shivaji dream

Now, some fans believe that Mahesh Babu should take up this historic role and bring his father’s vision to life.

While Mahesh is undoubtedly a fantastic actor, stepping into the shoes of Shivaji Maharaj would be a massive challenge. It would require a visionary director and a production house capable of handling a grand-scale historical drama.

The question remains—will Mahesh Babu dare to take up this legacy? Or will Shivaji Maharaj’s story in Tollywood remain an unfulfilled dream forever?

If not Mahesh Babu, then which Tollywood superstar is perfect to play one of India’s biggest Legendary heroes? Your guess is as good as ours.
