April has always held a special place in Mahesh Babu’s career. While the summer holiday season certainly helps, April has been a crucial month for the superstar. That is why fans are already excited after hearing that SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film Varanasi is also aiming for an April release.

Early in Mahesh Babu’s career, Yuvaraju released on April 14, 2000. The film was a commercial flop. A few years later, Pokiri released on April 28, 2006, and changed everything. The film did not just break records. It firmly established Mahesh Babu as the number one mass hero. Years later, Bharat Ane Nenu, directed by Koratala Siva and released on April 20, 2018, once again delivered decent box office numbers.

Now, Mahesh Babu’s pan world project Varanasi with Rajamouli is almost locked for an April 7, 2027 release.

Reports suggest the date was chosen carefully to match the Ugadi festival and the extended holiday window. Given Rajamouli’s reputation for detailed planning, the April release clearly seems like a calculated move rather than a coincidence.

Till now April month has been a mixed bag for Mahesh babu with one flop, one all-time blockbuster and one decent success. We have to see what kind of result Varanasi will deliver.

Trade experts believe that Mahesh Babu’s star power combined with Rajamouli’s scale and vision could result in a massive box office run. With a budget said to be over Rs. 1000 crore, fans are hopeful that April will once again deliver one of the biggest milestones of Mahesh Babu’s career.
