Mahesh Toiling Harder Than Ram Charan, NTR & Prabhas?

Mahesh Babu is currently undergoing intense training in Germany for director SS Rajamouli’s ambitious global project Varanasi. According to reports, Mahesh has been training in the famous Black Forest region and is expected to continue there through May as part of a physically demanding preparation schedule.

The Black Forest is known for its dense woods, steep mountains, deep valleys, and unpredictable terrain, making it one of the toughest trekking regions in Europe. Reports suggest the training is focused not just on fitness, but also on endurance, mental strength, and survival skills.

As part of the program, trainees reportedly walk 15 to 25 kilometers carrying backpacks weighing around 10 to 15 kilograms. The weather conditions reportedly make the challenge even tougher. Sudden fog, heavy rain, and sharp temperature drops are common in the region. In colder areas, snow trekking becomes especially risky and physically exhausting.

Due to the dense forest environment, trekkers can easily lose direction. Because of this, the training also reportedly includes map reading, compass usage, and navigation based on natural environmental signs rather than depending entirely on technology. The idea is to improve concentration, awareness, and survival instincts.

Some of the toughest exercises are said to be happening around Feldberg, the highest peak in the Black Forest. The steep climbs and thinner air there reportedly put heavy pressure on stamina and lung capacity. Night trekking sessions are also believed to be part of the schedule to build confidence under difficult conditions.

Many industry observers feel this could be one of the most physically demanding preparation phases ever attempted for a Telugu film. Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, and Prabhas previously underwent intense transformations for Rajamouli’s RRR and Baahubali, but the scale and intensity of this training reportedly take Mahesh’s preparation to a different level.

Now, the expectations are naturally going to soar even higher. After putting himself through such a demanding process, let’s hope that effort reflects strongly in both his performance and the overall scale of Varanasi.
