But the same can’t be said about the Hindi version. Major had a wide release in the North belt and was promoted aggressively. The film was projected as a pan-India movie and not as another dubbed south Indian film.
But the results haven’t been fruitful. Major (Hindi) clocked in a net collection of 2.61 crores in its first two days. The film has seen an upward trend in the collections, but they are on the lower side. The talk is very good, but the patronage from the audience hasn’t come on the expected lines for Major’s Hindi version.
Some trade experts are saying that many Hindi films and web series have already come on the 26/11 event, and because of that, Major lost its novelty factor in the North. Adivi Sesh is a new face to the Hindi audience, which also is being cited as a reason for low collections. But the way the Major’s team promoted the film in Hindi is commendable.
The film will be termed a successful venture for Adivi Sesh, but there is still a long way to go for him as far as the Hindi belt is concerned.
