Makers Desperate to Cash the Wink. Will It Work?

It is well noted that the wink of Priya Varrier has brought up a storm on the social media. The girl was even tagged as “Wink girl” owing to her popularity that she got with her expressive act. With popularity, there came the controversy too on the girl.

The petition filed against the song Manikya Malaraaya Poovi that plays in the background while the girl winks at the boy. While that is still on the court, another petition has been filed by two Hyderabadi’s demanding to remove the wink scene from the film as the wink itself is a blasphemy in Islam.

With all of this negativity running around the film, the makers are reshooting the film with more of the scenes with Priya Varrier in order to cash the unexpected popularity that the girl got in the south. They are also going to release the film in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi in dubbed versions. Well, it is uncertain if people would really go to theaters just to watch the wink girl as the makers are hoping. Let’s see.
