Male Fantasies See Woman As a Loser – Female Director

Being a female director comes with some unseen advantages and one of them includes deciding powerful scenes for heroines and other female characters without paying attention to what the make dominated industry would think of.

Sudha Kongara‘s writing team asked about not including a couple of scenes between Suriya and Aparna Balamurali only because Suriya is a star. But, Sudha Kongara being the head of the writing team, insisted that the scenes must be included.

She observed that like Suriya’s character in ‘Soorarai Pottru’, there are many writers, artists and other technicians who have taken several years to prove themselves and all the while, their wives supported them as the breadwinners of the family.

The heroine supporting the hero financially while he was struggling to get the license for starting his airlines was neatly portrayed by Sudha Kongara and even Suriya’s fans are appreciating those scenes when the female lead is seen as the upper hand during his struggling days.
