Manam had few ridiculous scenes: Chaitanya

The film Manam starring the Akkineni’s together is hailed as a classic now. It released earlier in the summer and opened to stupendous reviews and public appreciation and recently completed 100 days. Ask Naga Chaitanya how he felt about the film when he first heard its script, he says that he found few scenes ridiculous in it.

Naga Chaitanya admitted it but then continued and added that the way Vikram Kumar directed it, it all fell in place and all such doubts vanished. He also said that a film like Manam could have been only pulled off by the Akkineni family as it has the perfect cast for it. With any three different individual actors the script wouldn’t have worked the way it has worked now and no magic would have been created. Well, Chaitu is surely right about the magical aspect brought in by the casting of Akkineni’s together.
