Mani Ratnam goes for change in crew!

Director Mani Ratnam is a stickler as far as his crew his considered. He has had A R Rahman as his music director for over two decades now and similarly he has rotated three cinematographers for the same time period. For his last film the director got a new Art Director and it helped him come up with a fresh looking milieu.

It seems working with fresh talent after such a long gap has excited the director very much despite the film failing and has therefore decided to go for a change in crew again. This time he has decided to work with a new cinematographer putting aside his regular ones. The director who is still keeping all the cards close to his chest regarding his upcoming film has decided to rope in Ravi Varman of Barfi, Ramaleela fame as the cinematographer for his new film features Mahesh and Nagarjuna in lead roles. Let’s hope the change works for the director this time around.
