Maruthi Trashes The Popular Belief

Right from the time the title of the film was revealed, Shailaja Reddy Alludu‘ gave out the signals that it is going to be a routine atha-alludu (mother-in-law & son-in-law) conflict in which the arrogant mother-in-law will be challenged by the young and energetic son-in-law and finally wins the game.

But, director Maruthi trashed the popular belief saying that his story is entirely different and said that it’s the story of a good son-in-law who survives between the egoistic mother-in-law and the egoistic girlfriend. So, according to him, it’s not the same old story though the trailer of the movie gave the impression that it’s also the old wine showcased in a new bottle with a different twist.

The director sees how the characters played by Naga Chaitanya and Anu Emmanuel also reflect their respective real-life characters, the human beings they are in real life. Naga Chaitanya is a sweet guy and Anu agrees that she is egoistic. We have the powerful Ramya Krishna in the centre of the proceedings as the mother-in-law, Shailaja Reddy.
