Media got Carried Away But the Threat Remains

It’s not a joke to make a film costing Rs. 600 crores and one can understand many things at stake with ‘2.0‘ coming on 29th November. As the release date is fast approaching, the makers are now slapped with a new challenge in the name of the most unpopular torrent site TamilRockers.

A fake account of TamilRockers had threatened that they are going to leak Rajnikanth-Shankar’s sci-fi thriller on the same day and make the HD copy available. Twitter authorities responded immediately and brought down the Twitter handle that posted the threatening message. The miscreants created another issuing the same threat. It was a fake account and media got carried away reporting this news. However, TamilRockers had already clarified that they have no social media accounts.

Recently, Bollywood biggie ‘Thugs of Hindostan‘ made with Rs. 300 crores was leaked on the same day of its release and the apparent threat for ‘2.0’ is definitely a huge challenge for the makers of the movie. The piracy website has been doing this to every big film on the release day and despite efforts including the latest Tamil movie Sarkar, the film industry is unable to stop the pirates from playing with the hard work of many who are involved in the making of a movie. Sad!
