Mega hero, Varun Tej is carving a name for himself by picking up new-age subjects. He plays a professional boxer in his immediate next outing, Ghani which is tipped to be an intense sports drama. Speaking about the film, Varun says he is pushing his limits as he prepares for the Kiran Korrapati directorial.

Earlier today, Varun shared a video of him sweating it out in the gymnasium as he undergoes a rigorous training regime to mould himself into the role of a boxer. He is seen pumping iron and lifting heavyweight dumbbells in this attention-grabbing training video. The Fidaa actor looks like a beast with his bulky physique and thick beard.

“Here’s a sneak peek into my first day of training for my next movie! This journey wasn’t easy, but it certainly helped me push my limits. Trust the process,” Varun captioned the video. Ghani features Saiee Manjrekar in the female lead role and it is scheduled to hit the silver screens in the latter half of the year.
