Why cry fowl? Megastar & Versatile Actor delighted

While many in the cine industry and political circles are crying fowl in the selection process of Padma Awards, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachan and Tollywood versatile actor Kota Srinivas Rao are delighted with the honour bestowed on them. Amitabh Bachan was conferred with Padma Vibhushan while Kota was conferred with Padma Sri.

Amitabh expressed the delight on the enormity of the honour bestowed on him and hence shared, “I am greatly honoured and overwhelmed by this recognition. My grateful thanks to the government for conferring this award on me.” Overwhelmed Kota Sreenivas also feels that Padma Awards are a great honour and to cry fowl on getting the honour late is pointless.

Many in Tollywood are pointing at the late recognition of Kota’s services to the industry and in the case of Amitabh, leaders like Mamata Banerjee feel he deserves more something like Bharat Ratna. Bollywood veteran writer Saleem Khan (Salman Khan’s father) rejected Padma Sri saying that he deserves more. But the B’Town megastar and T’town veteran actor are happy with the honour conferred on them.
