Mental Madhilo Beats the Blockbuster on Day 1

Once in a while small films with novel concepts surprise the trade big time. This time around, it’s ‘Mental Madhilo‘ backed by Suresh Babu, the same production house which backed ‘Pelli Choopulu’ has opened to positive reviews, all over. Suresh Productions has followed the same strategy they had followed for ‘Pelli Choopulu’.

To spread the positive buzz on the social media, the production house screened the movie before the release for the industry folks. It worked out well for the movie and this new release has grossed $25 K from the premieres that are higher than ‘Pelli Choopulu’ that had collected $17 K from its premieres, back then.

‘Pelli Choopulu’ worked wonders by collecting $1.2 Million in its lifetime. Can ‘Mental Madhilo’ recreate the magic at the US box office? Though it’s early to comment, it’s going to be a herculean task we can say!

The other movies ‘Balakrishnudu‘ and ‘Napoleon’. that came along with ‘Mental Madhilo’ have collected $ 8,360 and $401 respectively. The difference is certainly huge and hopes this week winner surprises the trade, even more. How big ‘Mental Madhilo’ can be?, we will get a clear idea this weekend.
