Million Dollar For Charan – Brief History

Finally, here it is, Ram Charan has crossed the Million dollar mark at the box office in the US. It has been long coming but Charan has finally achieved it making fans relieved.

Ram Charan is the last star hero in Telugu cinema to reach this mark. So where did it went wrong? Actually, if we carefully look it didn’t anywhere. Charan’s Magadheera many distributors say was unofficially the first movie to cross that mark. But tracking wasn’t that common for Telugu films then. It still was the first film to officially cross half million with tracking. It took two years to cross this half million mark for any other star.

Among the rest of films, only two films had a decent talk and they clashed with Superstar Mahesh Babu movies. The second of those films had a Sunday release in the US. It clearly wasn’t as if people didn’t care, the problem was not getting the right film. With Dhruva, he achieved that and the result is seen. Here’s hoping this is the beginning of a great innings ahead.
