Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is all set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on March 27th.
L2: Empuraan is a sequel to the blockbuster Lucifer, which was released in the year 2019. Lucifer was a blockbuster success and has collected around 120 crores in box office collections worldwide.
Since the announcement, L2: Empuraan has had huge expectations amongst the audiences, and also L2: Empuraan is the costliest film ever made in the Malayalam industry.
Despite having a huge star cast such as Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, and Manju Warrier, apart from the character reveal poster campaign, so far L2: Empuraan team hasn’t done any promotions for the movie.
Still, only a few more weeks are left for the release, yet the L2: Empuraan team still hasn’t started its promotions and is wasting its potential to become the highest-grossing Malayalam movie, say the Malayalam audiences on social media.
Vijay’s Leo holds the record for the highest-grossing movie on its Day 1 in Kerala with 12 crores; it’s expected that L2: Empuraan will beat Leo’s record during its release.
It remains to be seen whether the L2: Empuraan movie becomes a blockbuster success after its release on March 27th and becomes the highest-grossing Malayalam movie, beating Manjummel Boys, which has collected 240 crores worldwide.
