Shocking Opening For Manamantha

For a film with a well known critically acclaimed director behind it and cast containing recognizable lead, the openings of the film Manamantha has been absolutely shocking. In fact terming it as shocking would be, to put it mildly.

The film had an opening day share of 1 lakh, 2 lakhs etc in few areas which can’t be described in words. Among somewhat decent production with known faces, only Gauravam in last few years can be compared with this but even that was comparatively higher.

With such collections and mixed word of mouth, Manamantha is looking at a closing of under 3 Cr worldwide (only Telugu version) unless it picks up drastically. The movie budget is said to be in double digits which means this would be a huge loss to the production house.
