Ramayana Advance Booking Trends
Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is arriving in the next two days. The excitement can be seen in the advance bookings. Although the shows are not sold out yet, as expected, trade experts have already predicted that the film will have a big opening.
As per the latest update, around 208,000 tickets have been sold at the national multiplex chains, PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, as of November 2, 3 p.m. Notably, the movie is yet to break the records set by Toxic, Drishyam: The Conclusion, and Dhurandhar 2.
The numbers that came so far are a result of the Hindi version, which is getting a lot of attention due to the presence of multiple popular faces, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram.
On the other hand, the film is struggling to draw the same attention in Kannada. Although Karnataka is Yash‘s main market, his presence has not managed to create enough excitement so far. Social media users believe that it could be possibly because of the failure of Toxic, which created a lot of hype before release and could not deliver a lot in terms of content.
A particular section is still addressing the fact that the high ticket rates are the main reason behind the ongoing situation. They allege that the audiences are possibly not able to afford tickets, and since it is the festival season of Diwali, everyone wants to save some money for themselves.
While it remains unknown if the makers will consider the demands of the people requesting low-price tickets, netizens are additionally claiming that the marketing strategy of the makers possibly did not work in their favour. They also wrote that the frequent criticism of the film might be a reason why people are staying away from it.
Advance bookings are open everywhere now, and the shows are starting to fill up slowly. It will be interesting to see how walk-in audiences are going to contribute to the film’s collections, giving it a big opening at the box office.
