More Troubles for Ram Gopal Varma’s Disha

It is known to our readers that Ram Gopal Varma is making a film on Disha’s Rape and Murder and the encounter that followed later. Disha’s father already approached the High Court asking to stall the movie. While the petition is yet to be disposed of by the High Court, the families of the accused in the case approached the judicial commission of the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the film.

They claimed that the film will affect the lives of them and also have an impact on the children in their houses. They also brought to the notice of the court that the film will impact the ongoing trial of the case. The Supreme Court has appointed a commission into the encounter and their investigation is still on.

Ram Gopal Varma already announced that the movie will release on the 26th of November. The controversial director is yet to make a comment on this issue. Disha is the movie about the horrific gang rape and murder of a young veterinarian in Telangana’s Shadnagar in 2019. Police had killed all the four accused in an encounter.

It has to be seen if the movie can see the light amid all these legal hurdles.
