Music Review: Thaman Continues Purple Patch With CMR

After flip-flopping for some time late night yesterday, the makers of Chal Mohan Ranga finally decided to release the audio today on the occasion of Ugadi. And they have made a right decision.

SS Thaman is continuing his purple patch. The music director is relishing this new phase devoid of overtly mass numbers. He has been successful is giving peppy and youthful numbers with a classy touch and the one refreshing mass number reminding one of the tastes of his mass.

Chal Mohan Ranga is a fresh, youthful album that will find its way to listeners irrespective of the fate of the movie. Of course, the “range” would be dependent on the success. It is similar to Thaman’s last outing Tholi Prema. The presence of both melody and foot tapping quality is the highlight of the album.

The Krishna Chaitanya directorial hits screens all over on April 5. It stars Nithiin and Megha Aakash in the lead. Pawan Kalyan and Sudhakar Reddy jointly produce the romantic entertainer, which has the idea germinated by Trivikram Srinivas.
