Double Dhamaka or Double Shock for Mythri?

After the success of Pushpa 2, Mythri Movie Makers is currently one of the biggest production houses in the industry. The banner made its debut with Srimanthudu and tasted success right from the start.

Over the years, it has delivered several blockbuster hits and continues to produce multiple films simultaneously. Some projects are in various stages of production, while others are gearing up for release.

Releasing two big-star films under the same banner within a short period is rare. However, Mythri pulled off this feat during Sankranti 2023 with two major releases—Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy. Both films turned out to be big successes.

Now, the banner is set to repeat the same strategy with a ‘double dhamaka’ at the box office.

On April 10, Mythri will be releasing two films—Tamil star Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly and Bollywood action hero Sunny Deol’s Jaat.

After his last outing, Vidaamuyarchi, turned out to be a huge disaster, all hopes are now on Good Bad Ugly. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, Good Bad Ugly features Trisha as the female lead.

On the other hand, Sunny Deol’s Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni, is carrying strong expectations, especially after Gadar 2’s record-breaking success. Given its mass appeal and the lack of competition at the box office, trade experts believe that if the film clicks, profits might pile up in Mythri’s office.

However, there is also a chance that Good Bad Ugly might end up like Vidaamuyarchi, and Sunny Deol’s star power is getting overhyped now, meaning Jatt might not repeat the havoc of Gadar 2.
