NPS Opening: Daring Step Gives Mixed Result

In the current cutthroat competitive market, it is a daring step to do a movie with a debut director. Add to it an unconventional subject and making, the difficulty level at box office rises even more. So, considering all those, it is a mixed result in the end.

The opening of a little over 16 Cr is undoubtedly low in the current market when looking at strictly in terms of numbers. It is the second biggest opening for Stylish Star Allu Arjun after Duvvada Jagannadham. The difference of around two crores does look significant. But considering the issues mentioned above, it is a fine opening.

The real issue is the mixed talk the movie has generated among the masses. The urban centres are good, but it is the mass areas that haven’t entirely appreciated the effort. The second day has started alright, but there are early signs of a crack. Still, the weekend would be excellent. The real test would begin from Monday when the weekdays start.
