Remake Retains Soul Of Iconic Classic

Ever since the remake of Malayalam blockbuster Premam was announced there was skepticism all around. Remaking a film is common practice but Premam was not just another blockbuster and that’s where all the naysayer’s doubt came from.

Today the first song has been released from the Telugu Premam and one must say the makers have done all they can to not spoil the feel of the original. First of all the original song is retained as it with a change in lyrics. And it’s here lyricist Srimani does a fabulous job of holding listeners attention. Apart from “Evare” which will take some time to get used to for fans of original “Malare”, rest of the song is fine.

Premam remake stars Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Haasan, Anupama Parameswaran, and Madonna Sebastian. Chandoo Mondeti of Karthikeya fame directs the film. The makers are planning to release the film in September.
