Nag Vs Venky: What Atrocity Is This?

It is an established fact that Telugu cinema and its subsequent discourse in the social media space is a breeding ground for fan wars. This has been a part and parcel of the Telugu space on social media for many years now.

However, this conflict situation is generally confined to groups associated with star heroes. For a change, the Telugu social media space has gone atrociously bad as we are witnessing a brawl involving Nagarjuna and Venkatesh Daggubati.

As surprising as it may sound, two of the most softest and loved heroes in Telugu cinema, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh’s names have come up in an ongoing social media brawl.

This primarily comes from the ongoing clash between the two sets of fans with regard to the credit for their recent box office success.

One section is arguing that the success of Kuberaa is entirely due to Dhanush as they project the Tamil hero as the main lead in the film while they try to belittle Nagarjuna.

They are pointing out that Nagarjuna is tasting success only due to Dhanush and the same will follow with Coolie later in August as well.

But on the other hand, we have Nag’s fans who are coming up with a counter argument of their own. They are pointing out that Venkatesh is also a minuscule part of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

They are pointing out that the film ran entirely due to the comical presence of Bulli Raju character.

The blatant attempt from both sides here is to deprive either heroes of box office success by commenting on their “credit” in the mentioned films. This is the burning debate in Telugu twitter space since last night.

This is beyond atrocious as rarely do we see such situation between stars like Venkatesh and Nagarjuna who are generally a million miles away from such senseless social media debates.
