Nani has made it a habit to deliver consecutive good films that are working reasonably well at the box office. On that note, he made back to back 100 crore grossers in the form of Saripodhaa Sanivaaram and HIT 3.
However, the issue here for Nani’s films in the recent past has been that they have been getting pretty good starts but are not quite able to fire with as much momentum after the first few days.
In the case of HIT 3, the film had a big opening at the box office and posted good revenues in the first four days. But it ended up crashing big time after the first Sunday.
If there is one thing that is lacking with the recent films of Nani, it would certainly be a chartbuster album. The same happened to be the case with Saripodhaa earlier and then with HIT 3 now.
It is a fact that neither of these films are in complete commercial space. But having a good song is more or less a necessity these days and they are capable of bringing the audience to theatres on their own. Having a winning song is a must these days.
Back in the day, Nani used to have multiple musical blockbusters to his name. Bhale Bhale Magadivoi, MCA, Ninnu Kori, and others are just a few examples.
While it might be a fact that Nani has changed his choice of films these days, it must be noted that he needs to also have this musical touch in play. This is only going to help his films that much more.
Nani is a clever and composed operator, so we can expect him to make adequate changes on that front.
