Nani is surely going places after the mega success of Eega. The recent news is that he has been roped in to feature in the Tamil-Telugu remake of Hindi blockbuster Band Bajaa Baaraat, which is being directed by debutant Gokul Krishna. Even though the film went on floors recently, its producer Yash Raj films have been silent until now.
Debutante Vani Kapoor will reprise the role of Anushka Sharma in the remake. The rest of the cast is being finalized. Nani is awaiting the release of Paisa, and is simultaneously busy shooting for Janda Pai Kapiraju with Tamil director Samuthirakani.
Yash Raj films are foraying into south with this remake, and are planning to remake few of their own Hindi films soon. Besides this, they are also planning to produce straight regional films in all southern languages.
