Enough Mass Films? Nani Wants a Change

Nani seems to be ready for a change after spending the last few years in a largely mass-oriented zone. The actor has The Paradise coming up, followed by Sujeeth’s Bloody Romeo, and both films are firmly in the action space. Now, the buzz is that Nani wants his next film to take him in a different direction.

The Paradise is his most intense outing yet with Srikanth Odela, while Bloody Romeo has Nani playing a gangster in a stylish action drama. The latter is expected to arrive after The Paradise, making it another mass film in a row for the actor.

Nani has clearly enjoyed this phase. Dasara, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram and HIT 3 also pushed him further into mass territory, even though films like Hi Nanna showed that he can still connect strongly with family and class audiences.

According to sources, Nani has already decided on his film after Bloody Romeo but has not announced it yet. The talk is that he wants to move away from another mass-action project and return to a space that offers something different.

That could be an important choice for Nani. Staying in the same zone for too long can make the lineup predictable, especially when the actor has built his career by moving between different genres.
