The Paradise: No Postponement, But Massive VFX Deadline

After days of uncertainty, Nani’s The Paradise is finally staying on course for its original September 24, 2026, release. Rumours of a postponement had grown because of the huge post-production work still pending, especially the CG-heavy climax. The makers have now reconfirmed September 24, putting all the release rumours to rest.

The postponement talk was understandable. The Paradise is not a regular commercial film. Srikanth Odela has created a completely different period world, and the film reportedly has extensive VFX work. The climax is said to feature a major crow-related episode, with around Rs. 2 crores reportedly being spent on the CG alone.

With such heavy VFX work, rushing the final stage can be dangerous. Bad or unfinished visuals can damage the impact of an entire film.

But with September 24 now locked, the team has very little breathing room. Less than three weeks remain, and the pending post-production has to be completed without compromising quality. At the same time, promotions have to begin aggressively because The Paradise is being positioned as a pan-Indian film.

The industry has seen several successful films in recent months, creating a favorable release environment. The Paradise can benefit from this momentum if it arrives as planned. A postponement could also force the team to rebuild the hype all over again.

The fact that overseas distributors were reportedly not informed about any postponement also suggested that September 24 remained the target.

Now the pressure is completely on the team. There is no more release-date suspense. The Paradise has a date, and the countdown has begun.

Nani, Srikanth Odela, and the producers must now prove that the remaining VFX and post-production work can be completed on time without delivering a rushed product.
