New avatar for Navin Chandra

It’s not easy to forget the thick bearded character played by Navin Chandra in Andala Rakshasi. This young actor, who is awaiting the release of his third film titled Naa Rakumarudu, has for the first time taken off his beard for his role. He feels that audiences remember him for his beard mostly and that’s why they still call him after his character from his debut film.

Even in his second film Dalam, Navin sported thick beard but for his suave role in his upcoming release, he had undergo a clean shave. He said that he hopes audiences accept him in his new avatar. He said he didn’t want to lose his beard but since the film is a stylish romantic entertainer, his director insisted that he get his beard shaven.

The film, which is directed by T. Satya, former associate of Puri Jagannadh, also features Ritu Varma. The actor said that even though his last two films didn’t do well at the box-office, this film is equally important for him.
