
The current way of classification given by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) is as follows. A ‘U’ certificate is given for unrestricted exhibition, ‘U/A’ is for unrestricted public exhibition subject to parental guidance for children below the age of 12 and `A’ restricted to adult audiences. ‘S’ restricted to specialized audiences such as doctors and scientists.
The suggested version will include age-wise classification of movies and several members of the industry are against it.
